New (Free) Online Telecommuting Course for Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals
The Center on Self-Employment, Business Ownership, and Telecommuting has developed a new online two-module Telecommuting Training that provides information and strategies for supporting VR customers with exploring and pursuing telework.
- The first module covers the basics of telecommuting, including what it is, how it has evolved, typical telework tasks, and the benefits and challenges that can come with this unique employment arrangement.
- The second module explores how Vocational Rehabilitation counselors can support telework, including strategies for helping a VR customer decide if telework is a good fit and the type of support that is needed for success.
Each module takes approximately one hour to complete (up to 2 CRCs available for the course). You are encouraged to complete both modules but have the option to complete only one.
